In Gray Scale Jumper you are a cube that navigates 10 different levels by changing the shades of gray you are (white, gray, and black). By changing your gray scale you are able to get through obstacles you normally wouldn't be able to. Despite what the name may make you think, there are some colors in the game which are also important to moving forward in the levels (watch out for red).

For some reason every once and a while the moving platforms might stop moving, if it stops you from progressing forward, just press R to restart the level. I can't figure out why it does this as it works most of the time but just take note of it.

The color changing mechanic was so cool! Took me an embarrassingly long time to clear some of the harder levels but it was a lot of fun

Im such a sucker for platformers, would love to see you just endlessly add levels to this game in all honesty.

The difficulty scaling on those last few levels is something else T_T

Good work!

Not me sitting here trying to figure out how to get past the 2nd wall haha. I really like the jumping mechanic, I haven't played any games yet that had that feature so its really cool to be able to play this!

I FIGURED IT OUT. wait thats actually so cool you have to change the colors to get through specific walls. love it

Embarrassed to say that I couldn't figure out how to clear the third level. The color-changing mechanic is a very clever way of playing with collision, and vaguely (vaguely!) takes me back to the days of Fireboy and Watergirl. The little bounce sound is a nice touch too. Love the premise, and I hope to clear the third level soon so I can experience all 10 levels.

I think the level you're talking about is the one where you have to wall jump for the first time. (Even if its not I'll still put this here as I've seen people struggle most with the wall jumping).

But when it comes to wall jumping, think about "real life" physics. If I were to go for a wall jump, but I'm jumping at the wall from 20 feet away, I'm going to lose a lot of momentum from gravity and the distance so I won't be able to get a good kick off from the wall, thus my wall jump will be weak and suck. However if I was to do a wall jump and I jumped at the wall from 2 feet away, I'm much closer so I don't lose any momentum and can get a much better kick off the wall, thus my wall jump will get me much more height and distance.

Love the color changing mechanic, maybe you could add more colors or even being able to unlock certain colors along the way! I did get stuck on one level, with a black platform on one side of the wall, I'm assuming it's supposed to be moving to allow us to jump over.

Yeah the moving platforms are a little jank, they'll work 95% of the time. I've left levels running for 10 minutes and nothing breaks, then I've loaded the same level and in a few seconds the platform stops, I don't know why but as I said they work most of the time. If a level does break just press R to restart the current level and it should work again.

The thought of using color change to decide the touch rule is interesting! It reminds me of some "I wanna" game.
